Disney has announced the replacement for Aerosmith on its famous roller coaster at their Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida. Aerosmith has been the face and sound of the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster for over two decades now, where fans ride the corkscrewing coaster while the band’s biggest hits play from the speakers. Following Aerosmith’s announcement earlier this year that they would no longer be performing live due to frontman Steven Tyler’s severe vocal injury, Disney revealed that the Muppets would now take over for the Boston rock legends as the roller coaster’s main attraction. This decision was made in conjunction with the announced closing of the MuppetVision 3D experience at the Hollywood Studios. A statement from a Disney spokesperson said, “The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!” An official closing date for Aerosmith’s Rock ‘N’ Rollercoaster has not been announced as of yet.
