Sangamon County reports 27 new COVID-19 cases

An additional 27 cases of COVID-19 were reported Friday in Sangamon County, public health officials confirmed.The numbers came just ahead of a promised crackdown from city of Springfield and Sangamon County officials on bars and restaurants not in compliance with social distancing guidelines and capacity limits.There have now been 1,188 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sangamon County, including 34 deaths.
