Man arrested in collision with child on bike

A 62-year-old Springfield man was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident where a 7-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck in the 2800 block of Hilltop Road on Friday morning, police said Monday.But the man accused of leaving the scene said the boy told him he was OK, and rode away on his bicycle.Bernard Fokum-Dinga, of the 3700 block of Carney Boulevard, admitted to being the driver that struck the boy, according to a statement from Springfield Police.
