Woodward Community Media announced on Monday significant updates to its Springfield, Illinois, radio stations, enhancing both music and news offerings for local audiences.
99-7 The MIX (WXAJ-FM) has rebranded as 99-7 CVS (WCVS-FM), #1 for Classic Hits.
The station features the greatest hits from the late 1970s, the vibrant 1980s, and a touch of the 1990s—bringing timeless music to listeners while maintaining a strong local presence in the Springfield community.
In addition to the music format change, WMAY – this particular outlet- is now broadcasting on 92.7 FM as well as 970 AM. This expansion was undertaken to ensure broader access to WMAY’s local news coverage, talk programming, and community-focused content.
