Alice in Chains recently canceled their tour dates due to drummer Sean Kinney‘s undisclosed “medical emergency,” prompting fans to be concerned over his health status. But in an Instagram post on Friday (May 16) on the band’s official account, Kinney reassured everyone that he will fully recover. “The good news is that I’m going to be fine and I’m going to live,” he wrote. “The bad news (for some of you?) is that I’m going to be fine and I’m going to live.” Kinny didn’t share specifics about his ailment, sharing “I’m not particularly fond of my health issues being made public,” before adding, “I was very much looking forward to getting back out there and playing with the band again, and it’s been a difficult but necessary decision to make.” Kinney apologized to fans for having to cancel their upcoming tour dates, but said that “the outpouring of love, concern, and well wishes has been both extremely humbling and very much appreciated.” (Rolling Stone)
