Fire at Motel 6 quickly extinguished

A small structure fire at the Motel 6 off J. David Jones Parkway was quickly extinguished by Springfield firefighters Saturday afternoon.Crews were dispatched to the scene around 1:20 p.m. after a column running up the outside of the building caught fire.
