Facebook is pretty much admitting how bad social media is for democracy, because now they’re gonna pay users to shut down their accounts before the election.
The study is looking for at least 200,000 people to participate. The selected folks will get up to 120 bucks to delete their accounts before the end of September. The study will examine how people vote when social media is taken out of the equation.
Facebook has already banned political ads starting the week before the election.
I don’t know, only $120? I mean you can come up a bit more right? For science!
