A Country Is Trying to Curb Speeding by Making Drivers Sit in Time Out

The Eastern European county of Estonia has created a new way to curb speeders: by sitting them in “time out.” That’s right. Just like when you were a child.

Due to the increase in speed-related deaths in Estonia in recent years, police are making speedy drivers sit by the side of the rode for between 45 minutes and one hour, so they can “think about what they’ve done.” Currently the policy is being instituted in one main road of the country, and will be spread nationwide if it’s deemed successful. Hopefully it won’t make its way over here.
