The Springfield Fire Department is investigating a vacant house fire that occurred early Thursday morning.
The fire took place in the 1000 block of N. 10th St. When firefighters arrived, they found flames on the back porch had had spread to the interior of the second floor.
The Fire Department extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported. The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Safety Division.
