We all know how Taylor Swift loves her Easter eggs. But on her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, she may have dropped an Easter EGGPLANT.
There’s a song on the album called “Wood”, and it’s a straight-up ode to Travis Kelce’s MAN-HAMMER. If you don’t believe me, check out these lyrics:
“Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my еyes / Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs.”
“Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet, mm / To know a hard rock is on the way / And baby, I’ll admit, I’ve been a little superstitious / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand.”
“Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck / New Heights of manhood / I ain’t gotta knock on wood.”
So, pretty obvious, no? But wait, there’s more: Taylor’s fans have become experts at digging for hidden messages. And they think they’ve found one that reveals just how much equipment Travis is working with.
“Wood” is 2 minutes and 30 seconds long. 230 millimeters equals NINE INCHES. Also, “Wood” is Song #9 on the album. (!!!)
I guess the only thing left to say is, Congratulations, Travis.
Online reactions to “Wood” have been all over the place, but if it matters to you, Nicki Minaj is a fan. She Tweeted that it was, quote, “EXACTLY what I needed tonight.”
But my favorite response has to be this one: “‘Wood’ joining the list of Taylor Swift songs played at every wedding for the rest of time makes me so happy.”
