Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher says city officials and stakeholders are working to make downtown viable as the business landscape changes.
Buscher told AM Springfield that although downtown is active during legislative sessions, local leaders are looking at ways to increase traffic at other times.
Buscher said planners recognize that downtown is different than a generation ago with the migration of businesses and more remote workers.
