Gas prices in Illinois have dropped 8.4 cents a gallon since last week according to GasBuddy.com.
The current average price of a gallon of gas stands at $3.28 a gallon. On top of the 8.4 cent drop over last week that price represents a 17.4 cent drop from a month ago and a 12.2 cent drop over the same time last year.
