Springfield Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in an east side residence on Monday morning as a homicide.
Police responded to the 1200 block of East Kansas Street before 6 a.m.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon said 54-year-old Sean Campbell of Springfield was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they identified a suspect and arrested him on unrelated charges. An investigation continues.
