If you’re an actor, you show up on a movie set to make ART, not FRIENDS.  But sometimes they take it a little too far.

Here are 10 actors who were totally hated by the rest of their casts:

1.  Jim Carrey,  “Man on the Moon”  (1999):  He stayed in character as Andy Kaufman the entire time, alienating pretty much everyone on the set.

2.  Mike Myers,  “The Cat in the Hat”  (2003):  He was “controlling, humorless, and prone to tantrums.”  And the movie tanked.

3.  Wesley Snipes,  “Blade: Trinity”  (2004):  He was unhappy that his character was being sidelined in favor of franchise newcomers Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel, so he made the set pretty miserable.  Legend has it that in one scene, Snipes was supposed to open his eyes, but he REFUSED because of a dispute with the director.  So they had to give him CGI eyeballs.

4.  Christian Bale,  “American Psycho”  (2000):  He was just as intense when the cameras stopped rolling as he was when they were on.  Obviously, that rubbed people the wrong way.

5.  Richard Pryor,  “Blue Collar”  (1978):  His addiction and paranoia were already making the set toxic.  Then he pulled a gun on the director.  (???)

6.  Shia LaBeouf,  “Fury”  (2014):  He went full method for the World War 2 drama, even cutting his face, having an actual tooth pulled, and refusing to shower.

7.  Jared Leto,  “Suicide Squad”  (2016):  He really wanted the rest of the cast to be freaked out by his portrayal of the Joker, so he sent them “gifts” like used condoms, bullets, and dead animals.

8.  Burt Reynolds,  “Boogie Nights”  (1997):  I guess he needed the money, but he really thought the role, and the movie, were beneath him.  So that’s how he treated everyone.  It did eventually earn him an Oscar nomination, though.

9.  Lindsay Lohan,  “The Canyons”  (2013):  While she seems to have snapped out of it, Lindsay was still in her nightmare period when she made this movie.  The director almost fired her multiple times.

10.  Bill Murray,  “Charlie’s Angels”  (2000):  He was so antagonistic, Lucy Liu reportedly THREW PUNCHES.  He was replaced by Bernie Mac for the sequel, and nobody was sad about it.
