Three people are dead after a report of a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Cabbage Patch neighborhood of unincorporated Springfield.
Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputies responded after 2:30 to a report of a shooting inside a home in the 3000 block of Hoover Avenue. The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff Paula Crouch said the incident appears to be a targeted attack.
