Springfield Police are investigating a shooting that took place at approximately 12:11a.m. October 10th.
According to authorities officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of multiple gunshots in the 1900 block of 19th Street. When officers arrived they located a juvenile victim who had struck by gunfire.
The victim was treated and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
