Newschannel 20 and Fox Illinois has promoted Matt Bednar to morning meteorologist.
Bednar will take on the role in mid-December, replacing Nick Patrick, who the station said is pursuing new opportunities.
Bednar is a Chicago-area native who has been with the Springfield-based television stations since 2023.
