A 56-year-old woman from Gillespie was identified as the woman who died along Interstate 55 in Litchfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said a 911 call reported a woman had jumped from the Route 16 overpass of I-55.
Coroner Randy Leetham pronounced Bridgette Ingram dead at the scene.
Portions of northbound I-55 were closed for about two hours for the investigation.
