Springfield showed up in a big way on Saturday, January 31, 2026, as Crime Stoppers of Sangamon & Menard Counties hosted its 15th Annual Trivia Night—the biggest trivia night in the state of Illinois. Held at the BOS Center, this year’s event brought in an impressive crowd, with more than 124 tables competing for the top three prizes.

A lineup of familiar voices helped lead the evening:

  • John Spalding of 104.5 WFMB
  • Sam Madonia of 97.7 WMAY
  • Joe Crain, Director of Public Programs and Community Engagement at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum

All three served as hosts, guiding teams through rounds of questions, banter, and friendly competition that kept the energy high all night long.

Adding to the team of event leaders, Leah Guffey, co-host of New Country Mornings alongside John Spalding, served as a judge as teams battled to take home trivia honors.

While the competition was fierce and the crowd was lively, the heart of the event remained focused on Crime Stoppers’ mission.
Crime Stoppers of Sangamon & Menard Counties is a nonprofit organization that relies entirely on community fundraising efforts and donations from citizens and civic groups.
