Sports fans from across the Springfield area packed into KC Council #364 on Sunday, February 15, 2026, for the 21st Annual All Sports Trivia Night. Presented by Sports Radio 92.3 FM/1450 AM and Channel1450.com, this popular event once again delivered a fun, competitive evening — and raised $3,950 to support the Capital Area Sports Commission.

The annual trivia night featured ten rounds with ten questions each, spanning a wide range of sports topics. Each round was hosted by a different community leader, media personality, or local sports figure, adding variety and energy to the night.

This year’s hosts included:

  • Mayor Misty Buscher
  • State Representative Mike Coffey
  • Darin Pritchett, play-by-play host of The Morning Huddle on Sports Radio 92.3 FM/1450 AM
  • Senator Doris Turner & Blake Turner
  • Drew Ward, Sacred Heart‑Griffin (SHG) High School
  • John Allison, SHG Head Football Coach
  • Irie Lohrenz, Glenwood High School
  • Alderman Brad Carlson
  • Jim Ruppert, host of The Press Box, Saturday Morning Sports Talk, and play-by-play on Sports Radio 92.3 FM/1450 AM

The evening’s emcee was Sports Radio’s own Tim Schweizer, guiding participants through each round and keeping the energy high.

All proceeds from the event — $3,950 this year — benefit the Capital Area Sports Commission (CASC). CASC promotes amateur athletics throughout central Illinois, highlighting the region’s:

  • Extensive athletic facilities
  • World-class Abraham Lincoln attractions
  • Affordable, family-friendly environment

By supporting the Commission, events like Trivia Night help enhance economic growth, expand athletic opportunities, and contribute to the overall quality of life in the capital area.
