IDOT has announced that patching and repairs on the Ridgley Road bridge over Interstate 55 in Springfield begins Monday, June 1.
The bridge will be closed while the project is being done.
Patching and repairs are expected to be completed in mid-August.
​Motorists are being advised to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
