Court documents indicate a lawsuit filed by the owners of the Wyndham Springfield City Centre Hotel against the hotel’s insurance company has been settled, although no details of the settlement were included.
A filing with the Central District of Illinois in April indicates the parties have until June 15 to file an official dismissal agreement.
Full Service Hospitality LLC and Tower Capital Group filed the lawsuit against Affiliated FM Insurance Company after the insurer refused to pay a claim for flooding damage due to broken pipes at the 30-story hotel in March 2025.
Affiliated FM filed a countersuit that owner Al Rajabi was responsible for the damage and not a lightning strike as he claimed.
