A 13-year-old on a motorbike was involved in crash with a pickup truck near the intersection of North Daniel Avenue and East Carpenter Street in Springfield on Tuesday.
The teen sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
After taking witness statements and investigating the teen was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign.
The motorbike the teen was driving was a 99cc vehicle, which does not require registration, licensing, or insurance under Illinois law.
