The former Leland Grove police chief who was fired after a driving under the influence of alcohol arrest earlier this year has been indicted for theft, misapplication of funds and official misconduct.
A Sangamon County grand jury returned the indictment last week against 53-year-old Daniel Ryan. He had been with Leland Grove police since 1998.
He was fired on February 24th after being placed on administrative leave on February 5th following the DUI arrest. Ryan’s next court appearance on the new charges is scheduled for August 13.
