Springfield Police have released the results of their Illinois Speed Awareness Day detail on July 22nd.
During the enforcement detail officers issued 38 speeding citations, 2 seat belt citations, 6 distracted driving citations, as well as 22 citations for other violations.
The detail also netted 1 DUI arrest, 3 traffic-related arrests, and 1 criminal arrest.
