The Springfield City Council on Tuesday approved a three-year contract worth $4.3 million for bi-weekly yard waste collection with Waste Management.
The agreement runs from September of this year through the end of August 2029.
Kyle Lester of Waste Management said the company would invest in new equipment to support yard waste collection.
The council unanimously approved the contract.
