Back to School has barely begun and already police had to investigate two separate incidents that took place in the Ball-Chatham school district.
One incident involved a Glenwood Intermediate School student bringing a handgun lookalike on a bus and the other involved a Glenwood High School student making a threat on social media referencing the possibility of gun violence.
According to a release from the school district both incidents were “addressed immediately once they were reported. Our administrative teams, school safety personnel, and law enforcement partners responded quickly to investigate the circumstances and ensure the safety of our students and staff.”
