The Springfield Area Arts Council has a new Program Director.
Andrew Schneider took over in that role as of September 1st.
Schneider most recently served as senior director of government affairs at Arts Alliance Illinois, where he helped launch the bipartisan Illinois Creative Caucus, led statewide advocacy campaigns and convened national researchers to help design Illinois’ creative future.
In his role as Program Director Schneider will take a leading role in the production and long-term development of the Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series. He will also support other programs ranging from First Night Springfield to grants for artists, schools and community organizations
