The Springfield Business Journal reports local franchise owners Marcus and Lauryn McGlasson are planning a third Springfield location — this one on Sangamon Avenue.
The couple recently purchased the former PNC Bank building at 1949 East Sangamon and plans to turn it into a Scooter’s Coffee, with hopes of opening in early 2027. The McGlasson family already operate Scooter’s locations on Wabash and Clear Lake in Springfield. This location will be their ninth overall.
The former PNC branch closed in early 2024. The McGlassons’ purchased the property last month for $500,000.
