Three Springfield firefighters have been honored for rescuing a woman hanging from a third-story window of a burning apartment building in March.
The Springfield Fire Department and the Illinois Licensed Beverage Association presented the Hometown Hero Award this week to Driver Engineer Devin Gilman, Firefighter Pete Miller and Firefighter Nick Saccaro.
The department also recognized Captain John Cicci for leading the crew.
