Governor JB Pritzker has named a Sangamon County woman as the next Executive Director of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board.
Melissa Brandenburg, is the current Chief of Staff of the Prison Board and will succeed Jim Montgomery, pending Senate confirmation, according to the governor’s office.
Brandenburg previously was a supervising investigator in the state’s executive inspector general’s office. Before that, she was a probation officer in Christian and Vermilion counties.
