Meet Our Latest Friend
Today the Morning Routine with Rocki and Lacey caught up with Justin Yuroff from Senior Services of Central IL. It’s been a few months since we spoke, so as a refresher, here’s the mission statement of Senior Services: “Senior Services of Central Illinois (SSCI) has been offering a wide variety of services to individuals age 50 and better in Sangamon, Logan, Mason, and Menard counties since 1967. We specialize in quality of life services, so that seniors can continue to live independently, in their own homes, for as long as possible.” We spoke about the Senior games that’s wrapping up this weekend with a cycling event out at Jim Edgar Wildlife.
We also spoke about two events coming up for Senior Services, specifically Bingo happening every Wednesday and the upcoming Boots and Bowties fundraiser at Route 66 Motorheads Bar and Grill. Each Bingo card is only $.50 and it takes place at 701 Mason St, Springield, IL 62702, at the Senior Services Center. Boots and Bowties is coming up just this weekend 0n October 3rd – Lick Creek will performing at 7 pm out at the Motorheads Bar and Grill and proceeds are going towards the Senior Services of Central Illinois.
