The Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center is ready to allow cat intake and adoption once again.
In a post on the organization’s Facebook page they stated that the facility had been cleared of panleukopenia, the highly contagious feline virus that had put a pause on all things cat related for the past month.
The post went on to thank the community for its patience and support as the issue was being solved. The shelter is now calling on the community to adopt the cats they have.
