What age group is the worst behind the wheel?
Would you believe millennials? Who defines as a millennial? According a new study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, that’s someone between the ages of 19 and 24. Those folks have performed at least one risky driving behavior within the past 30 days.
Risky behavior includes running a red light, speeding, and texting while driving.
Just because millennials were the most likely to perform a risky task doesn’t mean everyone is a safe driver. Those 60 to 74 performed ‘risky maneuvers’ in the last 30 days. Their percentage was 67.3 versus the 88% of millennials.
Basically what this study shows us is that no matter the age, a majority of drivers are distracted or careless on the road. Stay alert out there!
