Chickens Attack Drive-Thru Customers at a Philadelphia McDonald’s

By Wes Styles Jan 7, 2021 | 6:09 AM

Police were called when a flock of chickens started “wreaking havoc,” attacking drive-thru customers at a McDonald’s outside Philadelphia. Animal Control responded to the call, tackling one chicken and chasing a second chicken to capture it with a net.

According to the Washington Township Police Department:

Earlier today we received a call for a flock of chickens “wreaking havoc” at our local McDonald’s on Route 31 South. We immediately called our animal “havoc” specialist, ACO Robbie (and the crowd goes wild). He quickly leapt into action and responded to the scene before the perpetrators could fly the coup. (see what we did there?)

Upon arrival, he observed two suspect chickens “harassing” and “chasing” customers and pecking at car tires. We cannot confirm at this time if they were targeting specific customers (with chicken nuggets and sandwiches in hand) or random customers.

A short while later ACO Robbie, with assistance from the manager, was able to take 2 suspects into custody and they were brought to Common Sense for Animals for further questioning. (where they will remain for 7 days and then put up for adoption if the owners are not located)

It was rumored that this activity might be in “response” to McDonald’s plan of offering 3 new chicken sandwiches in the near future, coincidence???
Anyone that recognizes these “fowl” suspects please advise the owners to call 908-689-1111 so that they can be returned to their owners.

The owners of the chicken was found and they were returned.

*Update* the chickens owners were found. Thanks to all who shared this story and helped spread the word. Earlier today…
