Support for same-sex marriage is at an all-time high.
A new Gallup poll found that 70% of Americans support gay marriage – that’s the highest level of support ever recorded by Gallup.
It’s up 10% from 2015 when the Supreme Court ruled that all states must recognize same-sex marriages.
According to Gallup, the increase in support is largely due to changing views among Republicans.
The poll found that 55% of Republicans approve of same-sex marriage (the highest since Gallup started polling about it). 83% of Democrats and 73% of Independents support gay marriage.
