Earlier this week, Lorde announced that new music would be out sometime this year. The message read: “Patience is a Virtue.” And then, only 3 days later (6/10) she posted a new single on the Lorde website called “Solar Power.”
Described by Billboard as a “strummy and shimmery song,” it features background vocals from Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo. It was co-written and co-produced by Lorde and her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff.
Lorde’s most recent album, Melodrama, was released in 2017.
