Britney Spears is under investigation following a dispute with one of her employees.
The singer stands accused of striking a housekeeper during an argument over a cellphone. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six the incident was classified as a “very misdemeanor battery” and the employee has “no injuries.”
Spears’ attorney, Michael Rosengart, told the outlet that the incident was “nothing more than a ‘he said, she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever.”
Monday’s (Aug 16th) incident occurred just six days after Spears dialed 911 to report a theft at her home. However, the sheriff's office tells Page Six that Spears chose not to file a report at the time, so deputies left.
