It failed in the 80s because Americans are bad at math, so A&W is bringing it back… but under a new name.
See A&W tried to compete with McDonald’s quarter pounder by selling a One Third (1/3) pound burger for the same price. But because sadly the education system has failed us, people that the A&W burger was smaller because 4 is bigger than 3. You know, because fractions are hard.
Now in 2021 A&W is having some fun with the idea and burger again. It’s the same sized burger but they’re calling it the THREE-NINTHS BURGER. Which if you math, reduced to 1/3 and is still bigger 1/4.
