Spate of violence continues with two Thursday shootings

A recent spate of violent crimes in Springfield continued Thursday evening with two additional shootings, including one that left a 20-year-old man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.Police were called to the 2200 block of East Brown Street around 11:05 p.m. after a man inside a house was shot in the lower abdomen.
