Shot fired after police respond to Eighth Street gathering

One shot was fired and one person is in custody after Springfield Police responded to a large gathering in the 1500 block of South Eighth Street just before 7 p.m. Saturday.The shot was fired after Springfield police arrived on the scene, Lt.
