50 Cent is being investigated for battery after throwing a microphone during his concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Power 106 radio personality Bryhana Monegain claims she was hit in the face by the mic, and indeed photos appear to show her being treated for a head wound. The rapper, born Curtis Jackson, was apparently frustrated after being handed several mics that weren’t working properly during a duet with YG. Police believe Jackson was throwing the microphone toward his crew in a backstage production area when it struck Monegain. Cops don’t believe 50 Cent intended to hurt her, a point that the rapper's lawyer reiterated yesterday. “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” attorney Scott Leemon said in a statement. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
