Kanye West has filed a lawsuit against the as-yet-unknown people behind a social media account that leaked several of his songs earlier this year. In the complaint filed on Wednesday, the rapper accuses the mystery group of breaching a contract agreement and committing trade secret misappropriation — claiming the release caused “substantial harm” to his reputation and “financial losses.” The suit singles out the account @daunreleasedgod_ (on both Twitter and Instagram) for leaking tracks such as “Shy Can’t Look,” “NASDAQ,” “We Did It Kid It Kid,” “Mr. Miyagi,” and a collaboration with DJ Khaled. The suit admits that Ye doesn't know who actually owns the account, but promises to amend the complaint once the “true names and capacities of these defendants… have been ascertained.”
