As seemingly everyone is sharing their thoughts about the mysterious lights seen in the skies in New Jersey recently, Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge weighed in with his theories about the peculiar incidents. In an Instagram post on Saturday (December 14), DeLonge revealed that he believes advanced drones are causing the skies to be lit up over the last few weeks, while also expressing distrust of US agencies to tell the truth to the American people. “The drones that are being discussed can hover for six hours, and then disappear once they are spotted,” DeLonge wrote. “This is why it’s been hard to get facts from any US Agency.” DeLonge has spent years researching UFOs, and compared the current sightings to UFO reports from the 1960s. DeLonge believes that in both incidents, “There’s a strong possibility that these drones are ‘mimicking’ other aircraft” in order to “get us to notice them without a major freak out? Who knows… but well, we are noticing nonetheless.” (Billboard)
