While alcohol may be a part of your holiday festivities the Illinois Liquor Control Commission is imploring you to consume safely.
The ILCC states that you should never use fireworks impaired.
Other helpful tips if you do decide to have legal fireworks include light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly, never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully, and keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy, in case of fire or other mishap.
