Man found dead in wooded area east of Pawnee on Friday afternoon

A man was found dead in a wooded area east of Pawnee on Friday afternoon.

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon stated that the man was discovered near the 3500 block of Illinois Route 104.

An autopsy and scientific identification have been scheduled.
