The Illinois State Library has dedicated a reading room in honor of former Governor Jim Edgar.
Secretary of State and State Librarian Alexi Giannoulias joined state and local officials in a dedication ceremony Wednesday afternoon recognizing Edgar’s contributions to Illinois’ library and literacy programs.
Edgar was Secretary of State when he oversaw the construction of the Illinois State Library building, which was dedicated in 1990.
