Springfield’s City Council is growing fed up with owners of blighted properties. The issue has been a regular topic in recent weeks, as the city has struggled to take legal action against abandoned lots. Ward Two alone has nearly three thousand registered complaints about properties. During Tuesday’s regular meeting, the council urged changes to improve the city’s code enforcement.
