The Illinois Manufacturers Association and Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center are opening Celebrate Manufacturing Month with a bus tour across the state.
The “Makers on the Move” tour stopped at Capital Area Career Center and Ace Sign Company in Springfield on Monday. CACC Principal Lacy Glenn said the tour bus wrap was designed by one of the center’s students.
IMEC President David Boulay said Illinois is a top manufacturing state. The tour is visiting factories, technical colleges and high schools to showcase high-tech and sustainable manufacturing.
