In a new interview with Guitar World magazine, Slash confirmed that a new Guns N’ Roses album is “coming,” though no official release date has been set. “There’s so much material at this point, it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fu**ing get into it,” said Slash. “But the thing with Guns is, in my experience, you can never plan ahead. Every time we’ve done that, it falls apart.” This project would mark the band’s first release with both Slash and Duff McKagan since 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident?, while serving as the long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s Chinese Democracy. While Slash didn’t share any specific details about the upcoming GN’R album, the guitarist did say definitively that “it’s coming. I know it’s coming because everybody is thinking about it.” Though he encouraged fans to be patient as he added, “It’ll just happen when it happens.” (Rolling Stone)
